In June 2022, a delegation from the Maryland (USA) Horse Industry Board travelled to Ireland on a trade mission where a comprehensive itinerary of visits to many of The Emerald Isle’s most renowned trainers, sport horse establishments and businesses had been assembled. Over five days, the delegation developed an understanding of the thoroughbred and Irish Sport Horse industries; through visiting the establishments of Willie Mullins, Joseph O’ Brien, Cian O’ Connor and Richard Sheane to name but a few.

As part of their tour, the Traditional Irish Horse Association arranged an expo at Punchestown Racecourse where delegates had the opportunity to meet a number of Irish riders, breeders and equestrian business operators. Bit-Media were proud to support the trade mission by producing an overview of this event.

The visit coincided with the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale where Robert Hall had the opportunity to talk to Mike Hopkins and Anne Litz as well as Grand National winning jockey, Charlie Fenwick who was part of the Maryland delegation.
