Bit-Media was proud to play a part in the 2024 Treo Eile Christmas Show at Emerald International EC in Co. Meath on 13th December. This was our fourth year as official production partner to Treo Eile and the first time that Horse & Country TV came on board to simulcast our free-to-air live coverage of the HRI Treo Eile Thoroughbred Classic; a competition that featured the best of Ireland’s retrained racehorses with jockeys on the night including Oisin Murphy, Paul Townend, Colin Keane, Nina Carberry, Robbie Power and Davy Russell. Each team captain was joined by two show jumping or eventing competitors and a pony rider who each rode a variety of former racehorses over a course of jumps followed by a jump off to decide the winners of the coveted Horse Racing Ireland Perpetual Cup.

Presented by Brendan McArdle and Kevin O’Ryan and including commentary from Tom Busteed, the multi-camera production was further enhanced by the the real-time scoring, timing and graphic display services which the Bit-Media team provided via the well-established Equipe system. In addition, we supplied screens and facilities for the on-site commentary and warm-up arena teams.

After the event, we provided clips for media distribution and delivered a 120 minute highlights programme to RacingTV for broadcast over the Christmas period.
